Rutter Technologies Inc. is a St. John’s, Newfoundland company internationally known for its Voyage Data Recorder (VDR) similar to an airplanes “black box”.  Rutter has been a major player in the marine industry since 1998 delivering the worlds most advanced VDR to the marine market worldwide.  To date, Rutter has been the major supplier to the worlds most prestigious cruise ships along with major ferry lines, container lines, tankers and other passenger vessels.

Key Products and/or Services   Although the companies focus has been VDR’s, the marine equivalent to the aircraft “black box”, Rutter also manufactures a full line of marine equipment interfaces along with a full line of fully digitized PC based high resolution radar systems branded as Sigma S6.  Rutters VDR-100G2 is Type Approved through BSH Germany and fully IMO compliant.  Rutter also received T.A. in Norway, Greece, Croatia, Russia, China and from the U.S Coast Guard.  Rutter VDR has received from the EU full Wheel Mark Certification.
