Marin Mätteknik AB, MMT, is a consultancy and service providing company focussed on littoral and offshore survey, mapping and maritime GIS applications. We use high-resolution equipment when conducting bathymetrical and hydrografical surveys such as multibeam sounders, side scan sonars, bottom penetrator sounders and real time kinematic / DGPS positioners. We also conduct shallow seismic surveys. Our business segments have suggested that we should peak at depths between 0-1000 m and a seismic depth in 0-10m, which is consistant to our original idea of business and our high-performance trailer-/ containerized concept unit have gained interest and business from Europe to Arabian waters as a good complement to our larger ship.

Since we have been in business since 1976 we have, as mentioned, worked our way around Europe with occasional extensions to other continents. Our major features are to be found in littoral waters with: bathymetric and harbour surveys, fibre optical cable surveys, pipeline surveys, HVDC cable route surveys, archaeological-, wreck- and ammunition search and windmill park surveys. We have also a long-term business with the swedish armed forces.

The information obtained from surveys are processed by common GIS application such as AutoDesk and ArcView, but also special applications that we engineered ourselves in order to meet our customers needs, i.e. the Swedish navy. We can deliver custom made information solutions according to the customer which is fully integrated to both existing topografical and hydrografical data sets as well as photographic / satellite images. Information can be delivered as raw data, in hardware as a chart or in various processed products with determined formats.
